Are you interested in knowing about Holocaust and Genocide lectures, exhibits, and other events?
GPN Genocide Prevention Now will provide students, researchers, academics and people interested in Holocaust and Genocide Studies with a World Calendar of Events and activities scheduled in the field. This Calendar will include, but is not limited to, the following areas:
Through our World Calendar of Events, we intend to show the wide range of events throughout the world and highlight unique activities that present a fresh and exciting approach to presenting the Holocaust and Genocide. This World Calendar of Events will also provide ideas for programs as well as possible collaboration between Holocaust and Genocide organizations, centers, institutes, and museums. In this issue of GPN, we will present events by the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C, Facing History and Ourselves in Brookline, Massachusetts, the Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond, Virginia.
We encourage and request that all research organizations, centers, institutes, and museums, in the field of Holocaust and genocide studies submit to GPN their monthly list of planned activities so that we can include them in our Calendar. As the Calendar grows, it will become a useful reference tool for communities throughout the world that wish to plan events and activities in Holocaust and genocide studies.
Please submit all notices of events and activities to:
Marc I. Sherman, Director, Holocaust and Genocide Review, GPN Genocide Prevention Now. E-mail: msherman.gpn@genocidepreventionnow.org
